A hard frost arrived this week so there was a need to cover tender crops including my potatoes, but with no fleece at hand I had to use something else. In the greenhouse the Savoy Cabbages are transplanted and the first sowing of Spinach is complete.

It’s been another day busy in the greenhouse as the March winds whipped around the allotment site. Today I transplanted my broccoli (calabrese) and the Savlia seedings plus sowed another batch of Sweet Peas.
Today I’ve been busy transplanting my tomato seedlings, sowing peas, planting potatoes and started planting some of my fruit bushes.

#stormdoris arrives on our plots as Vivi tried to straighten her beds while over in Sean’s greenhouse it’s time to sow celeriac and plant lupins and fuchsia. In the garden the first sign of Spring arrives when the daffodils come into flower.
