How to Inspect & Plant Shallots for an Early Harvest

You can achieve an early harvest of shallots by planting bulbs into pots and keeping them in the greenhouse until the warmer days of Spring arrive.

Before planting, inspect the bulbs to make sure they are disease free and solid to use. It is thought that shallots originated in Asia.
